I was watching "miami vice" reruns the other day and was reminded of an ancient airline out of s. FL called "Chalks" that flies turbo-mallards around the bahamas and keys. I looked at their website but there were no links to anything company related, only a schedule (which I suppose is good, showing they are still in business).

Does anyone out there fly or have flown for them recently? I'm wondering about state of the company and what kind of salary/benefits package they offer for pilot positions. I'm currently in the military so just looking informally but not that many sea-plane operations left around and the idea of it really appeals to me. Let me know, thanks.

I don't work there but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.I've read some articles about Chalk's in magazines. You might want to try the local library. Seaplane time is not a must for them. They like to train their own way. Looks like a fun gig.

Do a search for Chalks, I know there was some good information posted a little while back. God knows I'd go there given the opportunity.
