Has anyone been to or have any info about what to do, where to stay in Berlin, Annecy, France and San Sebastian, Spain?
Looks like I'll have about 2 to 3 nights in each.
Thanks!!!!

A hotel would be a good idea.

Sorry - I couldn't resist it.

rice--In my previous life, we stayed at a hotel called the Esplanade. It was awsome--near a park by the Brandenburg Gate. It was top notch but that was awhile ago.

Still looks good.

Hey, Kiwi, are those girls in your avatar personal friends? ;) Cheers! TC

Check with Check 6...he did a lot of Europe flying...he might know!

We were just here:

Kempinsky Hotel Bristol at Kurfurstendamm 27

Elegant, terrific place in the "Grand Hotel" tradition.

Very, very, very good room was about E150/night + applicable taxes.

Beautifully situated. Best street in the center of the city.

Easy to get to and from. Parking in hotel.

Room service food expensive but delicious.

The gym is minimal by US standards for such a high-tone joint.

Everyone speaks perfect English (of course), and is perfectly gracious and helpful (One of the lobby staff hand drew me a map to Einstein's summer observatory in the village of Caputh). The map was dead-on.

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Annecy is beautiful. The best hotel is L' Impérial on the lake but it is expensive. Any hotel on or near the lake is preferable- although still too cold to swim. Enjoy.

Annecy is beautiful !!!! If your into old French villages this is the place. Hotel (more like B&B) was very nice. Only complaint was that is was a few Klick's from town and I would've preferred being there. Oh well chalk it up to letting Universal pick the accomodations.
Back to Annecy, if any of you ever think of taking the wife, GF/Significant Other on a romantic French vacation this would definitely be the place. To bad it was just me and the "other guy". As usual.:(
