Anyone with FO/CPT newhire breakdown at CAL?

Could anyone provide info on:
Not only the former airline/corp. background of the CAL newhires, but also if they were previously FOs or CPTs, or had any 121 PIC time or none whatsoever? Thanks

I'm curious if there are there any former FOs that had inside recommendations and got interviews at CAL...? (besides the CAL interns or OBAP programs)

Thanks

I've heard of a few, notice I said "heard". But I have no reason to doubt it. BTW, they were usually sons or daughters, or some other of a super mo-fo of a reccomendation.

Friend of mine started there earlier this summer. He was a regional airline FO (not ExpressJet), zero 121 PIC turbine time, and had one internal recommendation. No other connections and not a former intern. Total time period from recommendation to interview was about 5 months.

Definitely not the norm, but it can happen.

Ladies and gentleman no airline has ever hired the most qualified guys. They take the people they think most fit in at XYZ airlines.

Which is no more an indicator of the potential for success than just taking the folks with blue eyes.

HR folks believe their own spin. Anyone who thinks you can truly know what you're getting from an interview is deluded. It's a crap shoot. Might as well just hire the most qualified candidates, from an experience perspective.

No PIC time??No problem !!Here we like peoples with 4 year college degree.........with major in "ceramics".........

Fo

I was an FO at a regional and am currently in class. That being said I did have the 1000PIC Turbine at my 1st commuter. It seems its all about who you know. I had a check airman at CO go to bat for me. Good luck
