Just curious if any US operators has the ACJ, only know Chrysler ( well germans now) and thought Ryan was crewing one for a US company. Privatair, but not sure they are considered a US op.

sorry........but only the ones that already have corportate experience.
They have turned down other pilots typed on that plane but with airline experience.

You mean they just want corporate pilots for the CJ or they want TYPED corporate pilots for it?

Can't wait 'till it's a seller's market again... TC

Privatair is a Swiss company, not US. Ryanair was operating A320's for Air Tran on their ATL to LAS/LAX/SFO routes, because the 717's didn't have the range for the route. However Air Tran has put their brand new 737-700's on those routes, negating the need for Ryanair aircraft (on which I had the misfortune of flying once - filthy, terrible seat pitch, smelly and unfriendly F/A's).

AA717Driver, they want TYPED Corporate pilots on that type, for the expressed wishes of the owner.
I was sorry to know some guys typed with lots of hours but only airline experience were turned down.

I used to work for Ryan back when they were a 727 operator.
I don't remember the F/A's being unfriendly nor smelly..........

The Flight Attendants were not smelly, that was the airplane. :) Sorry for lumping both together! To top it all off, I found out a few days after taking my trip in the aircraft in question that 3 weeks prior to my being on this bird one of the engine cowlings flew off while in flight and the aircraft had to return to base!

THE HORROR!!!!

Oh, and by the way, Ryanair is a 737 low cost carrier based out of Dublin, Ireland. The company you are referring to is Ryan International based out of Wichita, KS.
