I am wondering if anyone knows of any jobs for a low time pilot with 1600 total and 550 multi, all piston. I am willing to work anywhere and stay gone as long as I have to. I just want to fly. Currently working for a 135 company in Dallas, Tx. Any info would be appreciated. I understand these are hard times and everyone needs a little help. Thanks.

Thanks. Will try to reach Colgan. What do you know about them and their current hiring status?

Go to Gulfstream Academy in Florida and learn how to become a REAL pilot! (JK)

Why dont you try one of the better regionals out there, Im sure you stand a chance since you paid your dues in the pt. 135 biz.
The pay is a lot better on a jet than a b1900 king air

If yer looking for corporate, hit the streets and go meet people, I hear networking is the best way in to that kind of job, so youre already on the right track.

I am really wanting to go somewhere that I can upgrade rather quickly. Like everyone else, I am interested in the PIC time. With that being said, I also am putting my stuff out to all of the "better" regionals out there. It just seems like I don't stand a chance with them because of no 121 time. But I have been looking into Commutair and Colgan and both seem like good companies. Lots of hand flying and lots of experience, just not the jets. Sounds good to me. Good luck everyone.

PSA airlines will be hiring in Jan of next year. They fly turboprops but they are supposed to get jets in a year or two. If you get hired soon then in a year you could move int the right seat of a rj pretty soon. Give them a try.

PSA

dorkdriver,

I actually am supposed to have an interview with PSA coming up. I had one scheduled in October but they cancelled it and one before mine. How do you know this about PSA? Do you fly for them? What is the current upgrade at PSA? Thanks for the info.

I have been flying for them for almost 2 years. The current upgrade is a little over two years. The airplane we fly is very nice. It is all glass in the cockpit and is the fastest torboprop around. It is a lot of fun to fly. Good luck with your interview. There is a guy named Brad Silverstien that may interview you. He will try to rattle you but don't let hom bother you he is just doing his job and likes to see you squirm a little. Just know your stuff and you will do fine.

What's the best way to reach pilot hiring at PSA?
I sent a resume to a fax #, as of today still no word if they even received it.
Any words of advice are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

you can email it yo psaairlines.com. If you want to e amil it to me and i will give it to the hr guy for you. that way you know they got it. my email is [email protected]. You probably wont hear from them since it would take up all of their time calling people back to let them know if they got it. The same thing happened to me. i sent my resume in and then about a month later they called me for an interview. I heard that they have suspended hiring until after the the first of the year but they will start hiring again, just be patient. Be sure to contact comair because i heard they have started hiring again......Good Luck
