Plane Slides Off Taxiway At KCI Airport

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Some travelers headed on a Delta flight headed for Atlanta got an unexpected detour Friday afternoon.

The plane was headed down the taxiway for take off when the plane slid partially off.

Airport authorities said that 151 people on board were taken on buses to the airport terminal to try and catch another flight out.

MCI is horrible at clearing the taxiways of snow and ice. The runways will be okay but taxiways suck. Mix that with some strong winds and aircraft depart the taxiways.
