Newto this forum. I have been offered a job in the Baltimore area and was looking to see if anyone had any info about the area. Being that the pay is nothing to be crazy about how is the cost of living around there? I am living in south florida now and the only reason i am thinking about leaving is because its nearly impossable to now live on my pay i make at my current job. Its a great place for a 27 yr old to work but just getting to expensive to live here. Anyone in the area who can share there expierence there as a cargo guy would be appreciated!

Baltimore is pretty cool. Its close to NY, Philly or DC by train. Downtown is expensive but some area's are pretty cool like Fells Point, Little Italy. I'd look south of downtown, places like Columbia or Laurel. BWI is south of the city.

Try to find a place just outside the city, outside the I-695 beltway. You'll find lower rents, lower crime, less traffic, etc.

Thanks for the info. I visited the area a few days ago and decided not to make the move. I have a second interview sceduled with Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines next week so the west coast is where i may be headed now. Never been out west but a change of environment will be nice.
