Would this be the firm that posted an ad in ProPilot last month? I can't do it, but I'm curious as well.

Looking at a job in India, any info on living/flying over there would be greatly appreciated!!

I used to do a lot of flying out of New Delhi, which I enjoyed. However, spending a week or two at the Oberoi is not quite like living there.

Flying there is not bad, but when the British left they should have taken their bureauroracy with them. It has just about brought the Indians to their knees. Everything you do there is hide-bound in process.

A good agent helps immensely at the airport.

Great jumping off place for Nepal and Tibet. You'll see things few others from the Western world have.

I think their bureaucracy is probably also heavily borrowed from the Soviets, since there is a freaking ministry for everything. And no one is going to legislate that excessive bureaucracy away, because being in office is how one becomes rich there and has power.

I spent a few months there same time as Storm Chaser. There is another thread in one of the employment sections here about India where more is posted.

Tracearabians- Now that is funny! As far as being there goes, be careful and be smart but overall it is what you make of it. If you can, don't miss the Taj but it is best to spend the night there to catch the sunrise. People in India are amazingly cordial and helpful. Not that I got lost 20 or so times.
