Anyone get any calls recently from XJT? When did you apply, when did you get the call? Are they still following the same format and asking a few questions and then inviting you to Houston? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I applied Nov 6th and still no word yet. hopefully soon. I will let yall know

November 30th. I'm not expecting anything soon. At least I have a solid job until I get a call from one of the many places I've applied/resume'd/etc.

Late Oct I applied, no news. I keep updating my resume's every 100hrs or so of multi time.

Fun stuff

Anybody with over 2000 hours been offered a job with XJET? Rumor has it they don't want anybody with more than that amount so they have to stay there and vote for whatever they put on the table.

This isn't true. We've hired many with over 2000 hours.

log in and look, you can attach and update your resume now.

Nov 28th, no word yet. I have not updated either but I might now. I have over 2000 hrs.

Mid November. Can you update before 6 months? When I updated in Mid Nov. that was my 2nd time and you had to wait 6 months before you could make any changes?

Not true at all. I wasn't the only one in my class with multiple type ratings either.

have any of you had anybody walk your stuff in?

It probably wont help. The recommendation lets will help at the interview though. 2cents

Talked to dawn the other day about a friend of mine at another carrier and she said "They are currently (as of 12jan) interviewing late October applications. So figure 2 months easy for a call. Once called your interview will be shortly after that and if you get the job Class starts usually 30 days after your interview.

Keep the faith guys and good luck.

I applied Nov 6th so i hope thats right because maybe i will hear something soon.. Thanks for the information. I talked with a recruiter today and all he knew was that i was on the list to be called so thanks to your information, i can kinda have a time frame. Cya GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE

I am not sure why you folks are not getting called, but I applied in September, was called about a week later and told Dawn I had a 6 month committment to a 135 operator. Even though I told her this, they called me again 3 TIMES to get the same answer. Finally, the last time I was called I didn't say a word about my job committment and proceeded with the phone interview and was invited to Houston for the face-to-face. I then told her I was unable to come due to my job, and she told me to make certain to reapply in 3 MONTHS, not 6. By the way, 1500TT, 150 multi.

Interesting. I applied in late Oct. and nothing yet. Last night I attempted to log into my account at peoplescout to see if I could upload a resume, and my password wouldn't work. So, with a bit of trepidation, I clicked the "forgot password" button to get it sent to my email account. Surprise! "Your Reference No. is not in our system. Please try again." DOH! Guess I'm gonna call up peoplescout and see what that may mean, if anything.

Well I don't know what to say about that.

I asked dawn if there was any way I could silver bullet a buddy of mine from FLYi and she said begrudgingly "no". At least thats fair and balanced I guess.

They interview about 40 at a time.
Starts out with the ("were simply the best" company monologue and such)
then you all go into 3 seperate rooms.
1. Discuss logbook and Resume questions
2. Weather, jepp charts, and aviation goblledygook ie. Alternate WX stuff
3. HR situations in the cockpit and situations with other types of coworkers like EWR gate agents and hot flight attendants:rolleyes: .

You will find out if you have the job that day and will be drug tested and scheduled for a class right then.

So lay off the beer the night before at least a little.

I applied in early oct. and got a call from Dawn, the other day. She was very professional and had no time for BS. Just get to the point. She asked holding A/S, diff. Between vor and vor-a, and another question which I cen't remember, but fairly simple. Just answer them correctly and out to IAH you go.

Called Today

Dawn called and talked to my wife today and asked for me to fax my resume today because she would be doing phone interviews tomorrow. I can't remember exactly when I applied, but I think it was sometime in mid to late October.

Thanks for the info. All information is appreciated. I applied Nov 6th nothing yet.

what are the hiring prospects for this year at xjt? Any good insight for the intertview?

Got a Call!

Of course, I wasn't home to get the call, that would be too easy... BUT,...

Got a message from Dawn this afternoon. If you're keeping count for comparison purposes, applied on 10/14/04, got called 1/17/05.

Faxed the resume, haven't done the phone interview so no gouge from me yet.

If you haven't been called yet, your time is coming...

Stay tuned.

This is pretty much on the mark. I applied in early October and just got the call last week to fax a resume so Dawn can do a phone interview. I am not going to fax anything, but I hope this helps.
