A sales position that required you to be a pilot?.

I'm not talking about selling Cessna jets or anything, simply a sales / pilot job. Get me?.

Thanks!!

I held two such positions years ago. Many will frown on such activities, but I found it a good way to build 2 resumes. Should I ever lose my medical it will pay off. I also found that it did a good job of preparing me to be a management pilot. It has been over 10 years since I did that, but it was not to bad.

They are out there. One friend of mine is an aviation fuel supplier and he flies a Baron around seeing his dealers.

They'll definitely be rep jobs for the most part, product doesn't necessarily matter, but kind of like aviation getting into that "club" isn't easy. The well-paid independent rep world is prety small for each industry, and they will want numbers from previous lines/territories before turning you loose. I used to rep in a different industry before deciding to do this and never make any real money again :D and there were a couple of guys who flew their territories...

I always thought it sounded interesting though, often I miss the high from closing a big deal, mostly because being a straight up pilot doesn't offer anything like it. It has other advantages, but not that.
