any one have tips to do this efficiently. this will be my first ipc i've given, looks like the pts has made it easier since i got my ii. also is a vfr only a/c ok for the ipc?

thanks

I'd say find out what his weaknesses are and work on those for the bfr. The ipc, I'd follow the pts. The vfr aircraft shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't do an actual ifr flight. At least I think....been wrong before though....but only once.

I agree with ATCCFI.

Stalls, steep turns, slow flight, some landings, emergency procedures...then find out what he/she is weak in. For the "ground/oral" I'd hit up airspace, VFR weather, runway incursions (biggie on the FAA), light gun signals, aircraft systems, etc. Try to make it a learning experience for him/her.

For the IPC, what do you mean by "VFR only" airplane? "Navigationally challenged"? Out of inspections for IFR flight? Aircraft not approved for IFR?

vfr only meaning not ifr certified, it's legal if we stay vmc. thanks for the input.
