Any major airlines require pilots to get a canpass ticket?

Y'all major pilots don't need a canpass ticket to go to Canada do you?

Major airlines always go to airports with Customs; CANPASS would not be required. CANPASS is designed to let non-commercial operations clear into non-customs airports via phone clearance. Although CANPASS has become an entity unto itself and nothing would surprise me.

I saw a CANPASS sign in the new arrivals hall at YUL the other day; I'll have to check it out next time.

Non commercial operators are still to notify CANPASS before their arrival, even to customs served airports. I.E. CYYC. They get very touchy if you dont.

Upon arrival if customs is not available for whatever reason a call from the zone to CANPASS will get you an entry number and a grant to proceed.

If you travel there frequently with the same tail#s and same pax it becomes quite easy. Once a pax has been associated with a tail# his or hers ID will come up on thier computer.

Firearms require customs notification on both ends. U.S. customs is required prior to exit from the U.S as well as Canadian customs. There is a one time charge of 50 buck canuck for I believe each weapon. Remember to leave your Glock at home unless you really like answering a lot of questions.
