If you served with the 35th TFS please give me a shout out.

Your question reminded me of Capt. Scott O'Grady and his book he wrote about being shot down. When he was radioing for a signal, an F-16 picked up his frequency. The Capt. told the pilot who he was, but the pilot needed some sort of identifier. He asked O'Grady what his squadron was in Korea. O'Grady replied, "Juvats, Juvats, Juvats!" Sorry for any hi-jacking I did to the thread, but I thought it was cool to see there were some Juvats still around.

While I'm sure that Zulu is proud to have been a Juvat, I somehow don't think the Juvats are proud to have Zulu as one of them.

Techrep,
35 TFS are the Pantons.
80 TFS are the Juvats.

Your mistake will bring on much flaming...as a minimum.

Just checking your attention spans. You are correct, I crewed an F-16C, Block 30, Aircraft 86-353, 80TFS, 8Th Airforce. Kunsan AB was a great assignment for me and at 19 years old I did a lot of growing up in a short amount of time.

It was probably the only assignment in my short USAF career where the Crew Chiefs and Drivers partied together. Anyway good observation and are there any JUVATS in the house?

LOL

I had heard he really must have had no situational awareness in the air and really screwed up, but when on the ground he finally did everything right.

Guess maybe even that part is not true.

Stinking Juvats

Don't ever slander the Mighty Pantons by calling the 35 TFS the "Juvats"!

Little too much soju during the tour, huh?

Out...

When the 35th went TDY we kept your women nice and warm.
