ignoring vs. ignorance

I dunno how de Montaigne and Marx got into this. Call me a Philistine, but there is a lot of daylight between things like the nature of the human soul and the abolition of private property and being annoyed by what has become a steady distraction from the business at hand: an aviation interview board.
From this end, it feels more like dumping a pebble out of my shoe than warping belief systems. Ironically, however, I was the one who ended up hijacking the thread, so I'll apologize for that. At any rate, the up-to-date info about CS really has been helpful, folks. I do appreciate it.

I guess it's time for me to chime in and to also say that I am really enjoying my time at CitationShares. Meeting and flying with alot of really cool people out there. I think we have some good things over NetJets, and I think NetJets have some good things over us. I feel as if we have a very strong management team looking out for us pilots. Some of the things that former employees of CS post on here are just outrageous, I guess that is the reason they are FORMER employees. I must admit, I used to be a fan of Tailhooka, but not anymore. Tell us Tail, what really happened to you at CS to make you so bitter about us? Don't be ashamed, you can tell us.

That's good to h ear, Bogart. Do you reckon it would help to show at the main office with your stuff in addition to doing the online app? I don't know anybody there, but I really would like to throw my hat in the ring. Thanks again.

What they like to see at Shares is persistance. Send them an updated resume every month. Show them that CS is THE only place you want to work. If it is really what you want, it shouldn't be hard to do. Do not "show up at the door", that may be too forward and shy them away from you. They are not looking for people willing to make "cold calls" and arrive uninvited. Be yourself, be sincere, and be persistant by going through the channels (online app/resume EVERY month), you will be noticed! Good Luck.

BTW, I used to drive a 208 also!

HB,

How does the domicile rule for CS work? I'll be living in Charlotte, NC. Their nearest one is in GSO (i believe thats the three letter code...)...Is it 120 miles or 120 minutes as shown by mapquest (door to door driving directions...)

Thanks,
LA

You must live within 120 minutes of one of our bases by whatever mapquest, yahoo, or any other map services dictate. I believe if it is close
(i.e. 124 minutes or so), they will try to find a service that will get you inside the time allowance. If they can, great, if they can't, you'll probably have to move 10 minutes closer. If you really want to get on at CS, make sure you do a search BEFORE you move so that when you are offered a job and asked what base you'll use, you will have no problems. Remember, crashpads are NOT allowed.

Just curious what their reasoning is on that?
