If you happen to screw up and damage an airplane, which has happened to a couple of unfortunate pilots. It will probably take you a few extra months to get the upgrade. If you have two pilots to upgrade and one caused damage to an airplane and the other pilot has a clean record, you upgrade the pilot with the clean record first and the other pilots gets the next round. No one has been fired for making an honest mistake at CS. Management expects everyone to be honest and professional. Only people who have been dishonest have ever had problems with management.

I see then. From your other post above, it just sounded like you wouldnt necessarily upgrade with some bent metal in your background there. This clarifies it though.

Tailhookah,

Sorry your experience at CS went so badly for you. Sounds like you probably don't get along with others and that's why you spit out rants such as you do.

To all others reading this, take this for what you will. I'm an ex-airline guy. I know all about kool-aid drinkers, I know all about unions, heck I was first in line pissed if/when the pilot group was getting screwed.

It's nice at CS b/c we aren't getting screwed, we're actually treated like adults, pilots, not numbers. I don't have any major concerns or complaints. This place is easy to work for, easiest place I've worked for and everyone else I know here with similar backgrounds say the same thing. People like Tailhookah obviously are angry people....constantly nervous about "being protected". Well, that kind of makes me wonder a little about his abilities.

If CS management ever does a 180 and starts screwing us, I'd be all about forming "union protection", but right now, and no time soon will we need it. Believe me, I know that is rare as heck in this industry today, but the truth is evident. They want us happy, they don't want turnover, they hand out raises, and they are still asking what improvements need to be made to keep us happy. This is still a new company, some things need to be improved and they are working on it. This is a good place to work, Tailhookah is full of blue juice.

DBCOOPER: I'm also an ex-airline guy and I agree with everything you wrote. This is one of the most laid back jobs I've ever had. As for Tailhookah, you can't make everyone happy.

Isn't there some kind of "ignore" feature to block (not censor--just block for yourself) messages from specific posters. This is a fairly decent forum, but good grief....

Yup, can't argue with that, really. Still, some folks were discussing this very issue a few days ago on the Corp. board. In this case, however, I decided to say something because the thread got hijacked away from what could have become a productive discussion about CitationShares. BTW, thanks for the info, DBCOOPER.
Now, about that 'ignore' feature...

Ignore feature--

For those of you who wish to block the posts of any particular member of the board, follow these simple steps.
1) click on user CP
2) on the left hand side, at the bottom, click on "Miscellaneous"
3) on "buddy/ignore", choose accordingly and follow the directions

Personally, I think it is the correct thing to do if you notice you don't enjoy reading the posts of another person. It allows you to efficiently make a choice for yourself that doesn't infringe on the free speech of another, whose posts may well be welcomed by those who don't share your viewpoint. If you find yourself trying to run someone off the board or shut them up, instead of availing yourself of the ignore function, perhaps you should take a close look at your behavior and the motivation that prompts it.
Respectfully,

Certainly you CAN avoid my posts. use the ignore function and they won't appear on your computer.

Michel de Montaigne said,

So while I might think you are a later day incarnation of Karl Marx, there are some here that may agree with your view. To put someone on "ignore" would deprive others of the natural discourse of this board where all things are considered and which I believe helps readers to formulate their ideas.

I know you think as I do or you wouldn't be trying so hard to shape the belief systems of others.

So, respectfully NJW, I decline your request for me to put you on "ignore".
