Just curious what you guys think will happen as a result of the four party discussions today between ALPA/APA AA/AE management regarding letter 3(flow-through).
I for one am very optimistic that things might be going our way for a change. If the resolution is as good as what the union is indicating Eagle will become a much, much more attractive regional to work for.

So who would like to venture a guess?

Nothing until all AA furloughs are rehired.
Are you saying that there will be no outcome till this happens, or that no flow will happen till all AA furloughs are rehired?
I think that this may be the reason why APA is willing to deal, if no deal is reached by Monday it goes to arbitration, and Larocca our arbitrator already ruled in favor of Eagle pilots saying that the merger of TWA created new hires for AA(basically letter 3 considered anyone a new hire who had to go through indoc at AA). Because of this many feel that if it goes to arbitration AE flowthroughs will in fact go back before many AA furloughs, APA does not want it to go to arbitration and ALPA knows this, so we will see what happens in the next few days.

someone posted the hotline today, saying that they are all meeting again on tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. Sounds good to me that they are at least scheduling meetings and actually going.

This is good news. Keeping my fingers crossed. Where was the hotline message posted? I just called and received the same information.

Guessing about the outcome is just that... a guess.

Just play Playstation, read a book, do your job, etc until next Friday. I hear there's going to be a big announcement!

But guessing is still fun. At lest I think so.

You have yet to reach full apathy. Give it another few months.

ap·a·thy [/COLOR]1.absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement. 2.lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.

Or simply put, most Eagle FOs.

Next week we'll learn hubris. This will define management.

Hah, oh thats good stuff. Personally, it seems these "meetings" keep dragging on week after week. I wouldnt hold your breath for any announcements. In typical AMR style, we will hear something in the final hour of the Letter 3 in May 2008. Until then, enjoy!

That's about as far as you can stretch.

Recalls are done according to the contract. No arbitration decision will amend that, and I can promise you that the APA is not negotiating with ALPA out of fear.

IMHO, your MEC and reps have let some false expectations take hold if you believe that any flowthroughs will be in class before the last recallee.
