.....

I prefer doing 15/1050 and touch down with about 18-21% torque on touchdown. This usually results in a half way decent landing. Until recently, PDT preferred all landings to be 1200rpm...now they want to see us doing 1050's as long as conditions permit. I totally agree with the comment that some airplanes NEVER have pleasant landings. Most of the older -100's like 906-914 and some of the alg planes fly like trucks.

Not to hijack the thread, but are we losing the -200's and extending or picking up more -100's??

Heard a rumor about the -200s going away, but that is about it. Nothing official.

I acutally think 906 is one of the better flying -100s we have. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Sorry Ho. Flying with that dude is part of growing up.

You owe me a case if you got my 4 day. It was a good one.

I can't agree with that either, but some are better than others. 914 is a total piece of crap that the company ought to be fined for flying. 906 is a good airplane since it was totally re-rigged.

As far as the rumor about the 200's leaving, I doubt it. Always possible, but there are several on the market for lease or outright sale, and I can't see the lessor placing them at another company for more money than PDT is paying with that in mind. Even if they do go, I would imagine they'd be replaced with other 100s meaning no loss of jobs or flying. That's the most important thing.

Let me restate this again. At WP, we ONLY are allowed 1200 landings. But maybe some of you can contact our Ops and try to get 1050 landings approved for us. Thanks.

You guys have any kind of suggestion box? Might be a good place to start if you haven't already. It takes getting the paperwork from DH, and that might be the holdup over there. I'm not sure what the cost is, or how much your POI has to get involved. Couldn't be too much to prove to them since lots of other carriers do them.

BTW.. Any idea what the differences are in a -103 from the other -100's. Ours are 102's.

You're cut off from the sauce...

Yea, I agree, 914 is a piece of jazz. I think in general the -300's are easier to land than the -100's - just my preference.

OPEC, what kind of operational specific required a 900 landing? Its amazing how quiet that thing is when the props are left back.

I am guessing Beta Lockout Failure.
