I fly the 300 and it is a bit of a rocketship. We climb to 430 at max gross, and 450 an hour later and can level off at.82. Came back from SFO to HPN and burned 9200#, not uncommon to see 7000fpm in the climb at 250 indicated.

Must if fly so high for efficiency? I tend to avoid going above 410 unless it's necessary for winds, ride or wx....

Just not much time to react if you spring a big leak at 430 or 450. Of course on of you is on a mask for that nice 6 hr. flight...

The biggest problem with the 300 is you can not get a training slot for another years or so, unless you get lucky with someone cancelling but even then there is a waiting list.

I'd think that most of the operators of this airplane are still on entitlement training slots, so it shouldn't be that big a deal.

Do client's training on an entitlement slots take precedence over those who are shelling out bennys?

we bought more than one and I know one company bought 5, still a struggle to schedule no matter how many and recurrents are booked solid for a long time to come. Not impossible but not easy

Folks that signed on the dotted line for 20 + million per copy are going to get slightly better server than an operator that picked one up off the used airplane lot.

First of all, I doubt there's too many used 300's on the market right now. Second, unless bombardier is the only one with the training curriculum, I wouldn't think flight safety really cares where their money comes from, unless there's some hidden factor with entitlement training that I'm not aware of.

CL300 Sims

Currently, only Bombardier has a sim and it is located in DFW. I did hear however that Flight Safety should be about to get their sim online soon and it is some where on the East Coast. I cannot remember where though.

FlightSafety's sim is alleged to be coming online in August and located in lovely Wilmington, DE. I know this because there is a good chance I'll be rolling through recurrent in August on that FSI sim instead of Bombardier's.... (its not up to me, though.)

The manufacturer has HUGE pull when it comes to this.

Dassault forced us into school in 2004 after we called and could not get a slot.

I know FSI doesn't cut us any slack on getting in line for those coveted G550 recurrent slots. First come, first served.

Can't wait 'til Simuflite gets theirs up and going.TC

Anyone with names of flt departments with CL300

I know few companies that flies CL300!

M&N aviation,casper,WY
Summit Jet, Long island,NY
Flexjet
Exxon
Mcdonalds
Wachovia bank

Anyone else knows more! Feel free to help this guy out!

My new employer has one, but if I told you who it was, I'd be looking for a new job. And I REALLY like this one, so I hope you'll understand. I can say that we are in the NY tri-state area, and we are not the only ones with one at the airport we primarily operate it from. So, if you really want to know, get on google earth and start looking.

Good luck finding what you're looking for!
