Any folks out there Air Force H-60 pilots? I am looking for some info on an interservice transfer flying helos, and can't find any good info.

I can shed some light...

I can speak at length of the opportunities in the Guard and Reserve. If you wish to go active, call a recruiter, if you want to be a weekend warrior, PM me!

You are going to have a bit of a tougher time getting on as a full-time pilot. Units such as the 129th in the Bay Area and the 301st at Cocoa Bch have recently been looking for full-time guys but with the economy being the way it is, my best bet is the postions went to guys who were in the unit bumming.

The obvious way to help yourself get a full-time (AGR or ART) slot is pick a unit and bum for a while until something comes open. You also can try that at a fixed wing unit as they will send people to FWQ if that is what interests you. I would pck a unit in a place you wish to live and do some face time, get to kno the guys. If it is a good fit, join and wait for a full time slot.

Lots of luck,

SB
