I'm looking to get a new ANR headset. I like the looks of the Mach 1 and Clarity Aloft. I like the idea of the in the ear and custom ear molds. I want to get away from the clap style over the head headset. I also want something that works good with my sunglasses. Does anyone have expirence with these types of headsets?

Thanks

Neither one of these are ANR's...I've been flying with the Clarities for a couple of years & love 'em...comfortable, and the noise attenuation is better than the DC's that I converted to ANR's.

Mauleskinner is correct. You don't need ANR for in ear headphones, especially with custom ear molds. There is NO outside noise with the ear molds in! I have used the Mach 1s for the last 9 months and for me they work so well I sold my Bose Xs. It all depends on what kind of a/c your going to be using the headset in.

Actually, noise reduction is noise reduction...the Clarities work great in the jets as well as my Maule, which is one of the noisiest airplanes I"ve ever flown.

Not that I enjoy disagreeing with somebody who said I'm correct, mind you ;)

Fly safe!
