Looks like GA had another statistic to add to their file. I wonder when the Feds will stop this company from operating. Two more crew members lost.

Just heard that on the news. Hate to see this stuff happen but I taxi by those airplanes quite often at TOL and they aren't very confidence inspiring. With the owner's death and it being the third wreck in less than 2 years (two of them fatal) this may be the end of GA.

Grand Aire Crash

The Hansa Jets haven't been on the certificate for over 3 years. They were ferrying the aircraft back to Toledo last night. It shouldn't affect the 135 operation. No information on why Tahir was bringing this one back to Toledo. He may have been trying to sell them out of the country.

TC used the Hansa as a personal transport for him and his family quite often.

Hate to see anyone get hurt, but you reap what you sow.

"You reap what you sow" about a person who just died in a plane accident.

I hope you don't live off of Karma, because with that kind of a statement you don't have any good coming to you anymore.

The Hansas weren't on the 135 certificate and this was the only flyable one left that Tahir owned. As far as Grand Aire going out of business the managment and investors say they are sticking with the company. Time will tell I guess...

I can only rate Grand Aire by their hiring practices. The worst pilot I ever had the displeasure to share a cockpit with got hired by them.

He is the only pilot I had ever written a letter against to the Chief Pilot. This guy was out right dangerous to fly with! His poor atitude was only exceeded by his poor flying skills and juvenile judgement.

My company refused to upgrade him to Captain even after he had 1500 hours in type and purchased a type rating with his own money.

I found out he got hired by Grand Aire shortly thereafter. I remember thinking how atleast he'll only kill one other pilot and not innocent passengers!!!!

To those who wonder he is, he flew for Bank Air years ago and is of Pakinstani descent.

Later.

bank air based in BKL?

I think I know of that guy. He has quite a reputation in surrounding states' FBO's, too.

100-1/2

beytzim,

i know exactly who you're talking about-you're quite right, unfortunately.

100-1/2,

this guy is in charge of P.R. while on the road!!! Because of his superior skills in dealing with line service and fbo personel.
we all love him, because he mooches whatever he can, and loves to kiss a$$.
--I've never heard so much crap come out of one person at one time!
