I know Capital Cargo has been covered in many of the previous threads, but I want some up-to-date answers and have couple new questions:

1. For those of you working there, do you like the company? ASny gripes/complaints?

2. Does Capital offer Health Insurance benefits and how much would it be for a single person? 401k plans?

3. Does CCIA have jumpseat agreements with anyone or is it possible to get around on their company flights?

4. What is FO pay vs. Captain pay and how long have upgrades been taking?

5. How long is initial training and do they pay during training? Where is training loctaed?

I really appreciate the help and thanks for answering my questions!

I too am interested in answers to the above. I've read all the posts and have a pretty good idea about them, however it would be nice to get specifics and more detail from current employees.

Another question for the list.

6. Is the schedule actally 2wks on/off or 16 days? I've heard both.

Thanks

Its a job, tell me about an airline job where someone complains about nothing. I'm there............

2. Does Capital offer Health Insurance benefits and how much would it be for a single person? 401k plans?

Of course to both. For a single person your looking at about $65 a month.

3. Does CCIA have jumpseat agreements with anyone or is it possible to get around on their company flights?

No j/s agreements. If you need to go where USAir goes, I hear they will take you with a CCIA ID.

4. What is FO pay vs. Captain pay and how long have upgrades been taking?

About $30k per year. Right now I would say upgrades are running 2-3 years.

5. How long is initial training and do they pay during training? Where is training loctaed?

Depends, usually 2 weeks of ground school, one week of sims and a week of IOE. They pay you during training, a special training pay, it is very fair. After you pass your sim ride, you begin to get I think 80% of your base. You get the $42 dollars per diem beginning your first day.

6. Is the schedule actally 2wks on/off or 16 days? I've heard both.

It depends on when the 1st and 15th of the month fall. CCIA bids go from the 1-15 and 15-31(30). If the 1st/15th falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, chances are they will not fly you out to begin a trip till the following Monday. Some months you're working the full 16, some just 12, it just depends on what you bid and where you live to get to the trip you've bid.

Good luck..........
