I've used Cingular cell service on overnights in ANC and it worked fine.

good coverage.

Nextel and Verizon also work.

Sprint works fine as long as you stay on the north side of town. Seemed to work very poorly at the airport for me. Worked great in mid and downtown but south ANC or the hillside? Forget it. Cingular worked very well in all parts of town last time I was there.
