AMS & UPT Dates FY2004

Any of you guys know your dates for this FY2004 year? My package just got sent forward 3 weeks ago because I was gone with the Marines for OIF. I was finally able to submit it once I switched over to the guard. I guess I'll find out my AMS dates within the week. I've heard the typical turn around to UPT is 2-3 months. This ASBC school, anyone know when that falls in? Good Luck to you guys who are going soon.

Still waiting for AMS and UPT dates. Not really sure about ASBC and what's going on with that. My packet has been sent in and my clearance is processed from what I know. Probably sitting on someone's desk collecting dust. Hopefully soon I'll hear something.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Oh well, future FY04 Guard guys like you and I have already waited a year, so a month or two isn't that bad. Best of Luck

Pretty much from what I hear it will all hit the fan in September.

However, if your packet was just sent up then i really dont know how long. It has to go through a long process to be "approved" then a long process to be given dates. Not trying to be discouraging but i doubt you will get AMS dates that soon. However who knows! Just dont get discouraged because you DO have a slot.

Anyone with FY 04 dates been to brooks yet? I am headed up mid september, which is cool that they are sending me through before AMS, therefore if I fail it was not all for nothing.

No yeah I know what your saying. I'm actually just hoping for December and praying for October. I think AMS starts every other month. I haven't been to Brooks yet either but I guess that is far off aswell. But your definitly right, I am grateful for the slot period.

Even if you did fail- you could get Army wings and come back. I know a lot of guys who have done it. Once your a rated pilot you skip Brooks from what I hear.

I was given an estimated AMS date of April and estimated UPT date of OCT FY2004, but it could be as late as FY2005, so be patient!

Nothing new

I'm in the same boat as greaser, still waiting for AMS and SUPT. My clearance investigation began Oct' 02 and was completed last april. STill waiting for it to move up the chain of command.

Geez, 6 months for a clearence, that sucks. I have secret through my reserve time with the Marines and that's all you need for AMS so hopefully that'll help speed up things. But I'm just a guy in line and that's fine with me.

I got the approval September 9th on my package at the Guard bureau. But it sucks because th next class besides Oct 13th isn't til Jan. 12th. Oh well.....

Doesnt necessarily mean you wont go in October. They basically will schedule your upt date and get you in when they can based on that. BUt i think it is prolly likely you wont go till Jan. Either way at least you are for sure that you are in! Congrats.
