I'm thinking eagle is about to have a very bad year(sold to the only bidder) and everyone who provides lift for AA will be in a world of s¥1t.... Hiring for maj will come to a halt and regionals will become like 2008 for 2-3 years... Just a prediction!!!!

My prediction...

If AMR declares...

The remaining majors will work to put em out by "buying" more scope off of the mainline guys to "compete", followed by a concessionary contract at AA, a spinoff (IPO) of eagle, and 99 seats across the industry to "compete". Everyone lives, but won't move forward (contractually). Don't worry, passengers won't pay more in the process either.

Just a prediction, don't shoot.

I think it's more likely that their highly leveraged assets that actually have any value (737,777, LHR) would be repossessed and sold, leaving all the worthless pieces (MD80's/eagle) to be auctioned off. AA hubs would be very quickly absorbed by existing airlines.

Add age 70 (if not 75) to that mix.

I just bought a ton of AMR stock for under 2 bucks yesterday. Im optimistic that they will not file chapter 11 and I should make out like a bandit like post 911 transportation stocks

Bankruptcy ?

Not here...that was the quickest 17% I've ever made in one morning!

You dont make anything until you hit the "sell" button :)

If Mesa can find financing im pretty sure AA can find it.
