I have a quick question about the SJU base. Can you get directly hired into the be1900 or metro? Also if you go in as a 99 pilot how soon can you get to SJU? What is the training like to upgrade into the Metro or 1900? Thanks for the info.

Well, I thought maybe someone from SJU would reply as I have no knowledge of specifics to that base. Other than last I heard, they had no openings. But that can change on any given day.

As to direct hires to the 1900 or metro -- yes, direct hire is possible. It all depends on how easily a given position can be filled. If someone already with AMF bids to take a run, then they won't hire someone directly. If a run stays open with no one taking it, then we'll hire someone into the position. In this case, the closer you are to the numbers we list for upgrade, the better chance you can get on that way.

For both the 1900 and metro, we want 2500 total, 1500 multi and 750 turbine for the metro, 500 turbine for the 1900. I know of folks who have been upgraded or hired with less than that, but those are the targets. The closer, the better.

I know of a PDX outstation in the Metro that i'm sure management would sell their mothers if they could get somebody to take, you should look into it!:pimp:

Richland isn't that bad.
