Amf Jepps?

Is it true that you have to buy your own Jepps? If so how much are they?

Yes it's true. I think the start up is about $300.00 or so. Call Jepp and ask if you really want to know.

Sucks for you guys...I just went up to your dispatch one day and asked for all the plates for my entire route one (something like 15 sheets of paper) and they were nice enough to print them up off their online subscription service for free. Its all in the way you approach it...well ok, at least for me since i don't work for them at least.Sorry to hear you have to ponny up the dough...

Just buy the NOA (or whatever they are) charts or Jepp makes single state charts. No reason to get the subscription to the whole west coast!

AMF requires you to have the full F05 from Jepp. It would be nice if they would take care of it the way they should. AMF says the they add $ to your check for this but west coast pilots make the same as DFW and CVG pilots who don't buy the charts. It's an old sore spot that will never get better.

I flew for 2 years and it worked out fine for me.
