What are the schedules like out of CVG or ILN for AMF? Is it all on demand? How many aircraft are there and is there any hint of expansion of flying around there?

AMF CVG has 4 Metros and 2 Brasilias, one of which is on a scheduled run into ILN. The 4 Metros are only ad hoc with erratic schedules. Are you a current AMF pilot or have previous experience with Metros? If not, you probably won't be hired into CVG. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or post them here.

Thanks for the replies. I'm currently a BE99 CA for AMF. Just looking down the road, so to speak. What is the QOL out of CVG? How is the ad-hoc scheduling handled?

Do you like a predictable schedule? Do you like knowing when you'll be home, and when you'll be gone? Do you have a significant other who may not like you being gone for two weeks at a time, then come home for 1 day, then be gone for 2 weeks again? Do you mind sitting in FBO's for 12 hours on a regular basis waiting for your next trip home? If you answered yes to any of those questions you probably don't want to go to CVG. You'll make more money then the avg Metro driver, but you'll work a lot harder, and be gone a lot more in order to do it. Lots of 16 hour days. 8+ hours flight time with Part 91 repos on the backside of a charter. No scheduled time off, with a lot of "days off" spent in hotels on the road. Sound like fun?

Unless you want my spot on the E120, your going to hate CVG. The people are good but they are always working and never home.

Now, now. Don't sugar coat it for him. lol

They are going to start 3weeks on 1week off, im not sure when but I will try to find out some info tonight.

Well, well, they finally threw the red headed step children a bone up Cinci way. It's a gnawed up half eaten pitiful excuse of a chicken leg, but it's a bone none the less.

SDCFI is correct about the lifestyle. It would almost be better to not have a home and live as some sort of roving freight hobo if CVG is in your plans.
