Just sent a resume in, and they wrote back asking me to specify whether I was applying to the 135 charter side or the 121 cargo side.

So I went on their website, but it doesn't say much. Can someone inform me on the two sides of the company, and if you have an opinion, advise me which one to shoot for?

Thank you

I believe the Falcons and the lears are on the 135 certificate and that they operate both the 737's and DC-9's on the 121 certificate.

YIPie

Do a search there is lots of info available, plus YIP is lovey this time of year. You get to learn the meaning of "Clean Airplane", you will become a good insturment pilot, it always IFR, you won't have to worry about getting a sunburn, sometimes the sun is not seen on the ground from December to March, and you will learn to get dressed in a hurry so you can jumpstart your car to make your 20 minute call out.

don't sell me short... I got 1900 hours now!!!! :)

I do not know if you have a geographic preference but I would look into IFL first, I had opportunity to spend some time with their pilots and they all seem to like management and the operations and they pay good salary for being a cargo outfit, they have convairs then with a little seniority they train you as a falcon pilot (and they have some nice ones, retrofitted engines. digital avionic suite, collins pro line 4, their convair are 0 time airframe and the stretch ones have some sort of digital avionics as well plus some727-100)
There are guys working for them as long as 5-6 years and they do not give indication or signs about quitting because they are unsatisfied with the company as a whole.
