Let me put it to you like this...

Q: How long does it take to upgrade at any company?

A: As long as it takes for those above you to move on!!!

C'mon, it will be a long time. Chances are you will be able to bid a position out of ONT before you are able to bid a Turbine run out of BUR. Right now, my best guess would be 2-3 years. At AMF, if you want to upgrade quickly, the key is bidding the next aircraft at any base it may come available.

P.S. Upgrades at Pinnacle are running just under 3 years. Do you have your app in yet?

A year ago (I know a lot can change in a year) BUR chieftain drivers were upgrading to the 99 with around 9mos seniority. However, they couldn't hold a 99 line and only flew the turbines as reserve or TDY. I would imagine it would take a year and a half or more to hold a line in BUR or ONT, but like freighterguy said it all depends on how fast the folks above you are leaving. Unforunately, in PDX and BUR/ONT there are a lot of 99 "lifers" who never seem to move on.

According to the regional board you can upgrade at Pinnacle within a few months if you have the time. Thanks
