For anyone who has any info on Ameriflight...
about how long does it take to go from the lance to a piston twin, and from the piston twin to turbine? How hard is it to get burbank as the domicile?

Thanks

Lots of new hires get BUR.

I'm in OAK, and I had my checkride 04/10. I got the training materials for the Chieftain today, and go to class in a week from Monday. It took a little less for some others.

There is a guy here who just had his checkride in the BE-99 and he was here less than 6 months. I have 2 or 3 people above me for the BE-99.

As you can see, things are moving fast. Just fill the application, get the interview, get hired, and worry about the rest afterwards :)

Hey Spiff and Scuba, thanks!!! :)

I hope it will go well, I heard it's one of the hardest upgrades to do...

I've heard its more difficult than the Beech 99 upgrade.

Just study your flows, memory items, and callouts prior to your first day in the sim and know them cold. Stay AHEAD of the aircraft and you should do just fine.

hell, it looks like they are even shorter than that, if one were to believe the multiple postings for metro and 99 pilots on climbto350

I'm pretty sure they cut and pasted those openings off the Ameriflight website. Those openings have been on the Ameriflight website for a long time now. I don't believe they update it very often.

I had a buddy who flew the PA31 for awhile and then went to the 99. He said it was a walk in the park. He's now in the Metro and says that the flows in the PA31 helped him be up to speed for the Metro training. He also said he was amazed that anyone has ever passed Metro training.

I suppose that if flight time and quick upgrade are what you after and your willing to put up with all the B.S. AMF isn't a bad place to be.

If you want the 99 be ready and willing to move to BIL. Then pray you can get out of there.

I saw the recent ad on climbto350 as well. Are they hiring directly to the 1900 and metro if you have previous turbine in excess of 500 and 750 respectivly?
