Does anybody know if Ameriflight has a training contract with their new hires? Also what is the general trend with aircraft assigned, to upgrade into a turbine?

No contract for piston new hires. 6 months for 99, one year for Metro/1900. You won't get hired into the turbines without previous turbine experience. If you're willing to move anywhere (read: Billings in the winter), you could be in the 99 in a year or less. I was 99 qual'd the week before my one year anniversary, and there's one person I know who had 9mo's seniority when he got it. If you want to stay in BUR or OAK it's gonna be somewhat longer, hard to say just how much.
