I have a couple questions about Ameriflight:

- How long until you can expect transition into turbine equipment?

- How long of a wait for turbine equipment in PDX?

- How much vacation do you get your first / second year?

- How long until you can start taking vacation?

If you have any other usefull info, I am interested in anything someone knows about Ameriflight.

Thanks for responses....

1) Depends on the base and your flexibility, about 6 months currently.

2) When hell freezes over! Consider another base for turbine time.

3) Apart from July 4th etc after 90 days service, One week after the first year.

4) You can take off two unpayed days a month depending on company needs, but once eligible for payed vacation the company prefers 30 days notice.

Thanks for the response, if anyone else knows usefull stuff about Ameriflight, I would like to hear it...

Anything specific you want to know? You can find most of the info here scattered on the message boards.

Great company to work for. Pay was just increased, TDY pay is really good. I worked out of Burbank, started in Aug in the chieftain and was offered the Brazilia, and the '99 in Dec. The upgrade time is also based on total time. 99= 1800 tt and 300 multi. If Amflight needs 99 drivers, they will upgrade faster. I just left and they plan to have all AirVegas's 99's on line by March. I love the paint jobs!!

Air Vegas??????
what are they starting passenger ops????
Uh, re-read that post. He said AMF is getting Air Vegas 99's - you know, like to convert them to freight use. He didn't say AMF was taking over Air Vegas's flying.

HMM

99's, Metros, 1900's. Its a very senior base, most of those guys are not moving until the get to the majors. Places like Visalia, Bakersfield and I think the guy who was flying up to San Louis had just opened up. If your willing to go company wide the upgrade time is much faster
