My firewall just went nuts with that link.

I use Zone Alarm Pro and SpyBot S&D. There was no problem for me. No popups.

Can AA take action against him? Looks like no big deal to me?
Next thing you know he will be asking the Republicans to introduce themselves to the Democrats. :D

NEW YORK -- An American Airlines pilot flying passengers to New York asked Christians on board to identify themselves and suggested the non-Christians discuss the faith with them, a spokesman for the Fort Worth-based airline said today.

Flight 34 was headed from Los Angeles to John F. Kennedy Airport on Friday afternoon, said spokesman Tim Wagner. The pilot, whose identity was not released, had been making flight announcements and then asked that the Christians on board raise their hands, Wagner said.

The pilot told the airline that he then suggested the other passengers use the flight time to talk to the identified Christians about their faith, Wagner said.

The pilot later told passengers he would be available at the end of the flight to talk about his first announcement.

Wagner said the airline was investigating the incident, and that the company had guidelines about appropriate behavior. He said the pilot had just returned to work from a weeklong mission trip to Costa Rica.

"It falls along the lines of a personal level of sharing that may not be appropriate for one of our employees to do while on the job," Wagner said.

keep that kind of stuff for your church and home. It is a good thing that he did not ask who was muslum and wanted to talk about Ala. Can you imagin what people would have said then? Fly the plane, keep your hat on, act professional!

Freddie,

On the job is on the job for the job. You can be a Christian without proselytizing to a captive audience via the cabin mic. You can display a Christian attitude by putting others first and being in service to them. That is perhaps the neatest part of my job because I am the central point for every flight I sign the release. Then I get to make other people's job easier for them. It works great.

Now we know this guy's name, and he has run afoul of what you can and cannot say on the PA. What AA does with him at this point is going to be shrouded in secrecy though, just like the pilot caught on film down in Brazil. He may have gotten out of that country, but I don't think he's out of the woods yet. Someone once got in trouble flying out of DCA and saying "On the right is the White House where the President and her husband live" during the Clinton years.

Packin heat?

So did he have a gun? lol...sorry couldn't resist.
What a scary combo.....Airline Cap, armed fed, bible thumper....coming to a cockpit near you!

GOD MADE HIM DO IT!

Maybe the dumb@ss is the one who doesn't know the difference between loose and lose!!!

That has got to be the most common misspelled word on ANY forum!!!

Um,

The older you get the less black and white the world will look.

Jesus never asked his followers to act like idiots to the point that they reduce the gospel to hilarity...that's sort of what this pilot did if the report is accurate.

Colossians 4:5-6 - 5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, {as though} seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

You intended to omit "got," right?

You meant to say "commonly," correct?

:)

That has to be the most commonly misspelled word ...
