Thinking I need to take some graduate level courses. No local schools that I am interested in. So it's looking like distance/online courses. Anybody got the gouge on AMU? I like some of the courses they offer, but am weary about the quality of the product. I am not looking to split the atom here, but I don't want to be laughed at by perspective employers when I list a masters degree from AMU on my resume. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

AMU is pretty good. They actually have some interesting courses in Intelligence and History amongst other things. They also have some world experts in Security and Terrorism issues. So there isnt an issue with the quality of their education. Now dont get me started on other countries Versus the U.S education system lol :)

I don't think anyone would have any problems with you have a degree from AMU, in fact it would probably be an interesting talking point in an interview.

well lil Jerry. Great that you have an opinion no wheres your sources to back that up.

Opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one.

Thanks Aussie for the input. I too am wondering if Lil Jerry has some specifics??

Are any of the other Master's programs better (easier, faster) than AMU?

Norwich, Troy, Riddle, Touro?

I have a few buddies doing AMU, a few buddies doing Touro. I'm doing Touro and I can vouch for how easy it can be to check that box. I'm balls deep in the MBA right now... it's pretty cookie cutter. You just read through the material (all provided), do a minimal amount of external research, and turn in 2 papers every 2 weeks. No biggie.

The AMU bubbas are working on different projects, some a little bigger. One of my bros is working his history Masters through them and he typically has assignments around 20-25 pages. He also has to purchase his books, whereas Touro provides all the study materials electronically.

Take it for what you will. If you love history, you probably won't mind paying for books and doing a little extra work with AMU. If you just looking to check the box, I would say Touro is the way to go. Military tuition assistance is a huge hook up.

Thanks for the response.

Is the Touro degree accredited?

Thanks, Kenny B-ship
