Pilot AE helicopters to accomplish production test flights and maintenance test flights in Grand Prairie, TX and GTR MS. This position reports to the Chief Pilot, Production and Maintenance Test. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Production Test Flights of aircraft and systems to assure compliance with Production Certificate. Perform functional check of aircraft and systems to assure readiness for flight, and review production test flight plans as to destination, purpose and specific observations to be made. Familiarize self with new or modified systems, instrumentation, or other equipment installed on the aircraft. Receive and update flight manuals; will perform screening of service bulletins and letters to update training courseware and curriculum. Prepare monthly flight log and reports. Ensure compliance with FAA and other regulations in all Flight Operations assignments. Prepare required pre-flight and post-flight documentation and reports, documents significant occurrences. Coordinate results of flight with appropriate Quality Assurance, Flight Line and Flight Operations personnel. Participate in ground and flight instruction/training for customer personnel as required. Assist customers with flight related maintenance and performance questions; provide other pertinent and related information. Pilot aircraft for demonstration flights with potential customers to assist in the Marketing Department effort. Ferry customer aircraft or personnel as required. This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other tasks as assigned. EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of five years of flight experience and a minimum of 3000 hours total flight time with 2500 hours in helicopters. Requires knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, aerodynamics and flight characteristics of aircraft, FAA regulations, and other fields relating to conduct of flight programs. Requires the ability to speak and hear clearly. Requires the ability to conduct flight training at night. Experience with Night Vision Device desired. Willing to work with translators in the classroom and cockpit required. Able to compose written documentation and to read and interpret various types of technical drawings, data and specifications. Ability to use computer. Able to move about freely in the area of moving aircraft. Able to successfully operate company aircraft; and to maintain required FAA certificate and medical requirements. Able to travel away from the facility. EDUCATION: BS/BA degree or equivalent. Must possess a commercial helicopter license with instrument rating.
