AME in Orlando (MCO)

Anyone know of the best or a good AME to visit in Orlando? I've heard Shewmaker is good, but would like any other opinions. Thanks

Shewmaker tried to charge me a higher price when he found out I was with Netjets. That just rubbed me the wrong way, and I'll never go back.

Well, after heeding the advice of "brownie", I visited Dr. Shewmaker in Orlando for my 1st Class medical. WOW! What a change from the AME I have been going to for 10 years. Dr. Shewmaker is quick, easy, knowledgable, and offered his help should any medical problems arise in the future. I literally was in and out in 12 minutes. While I was there, he took 3 phone calls from the FAA working on getting 3 other pilots medically cleared. He even has an online scheduling system at http://www.floridaflightdoctor.com/

I truly thought I had the best AME in Central Florida until this past week when I visited Dr. Shewmaker. And to add icing to the cake, he only charges $60 for a 1st Class (if you don't require an EKG). Highly recommend!

12 minute medical exam!! wow that was extensive.... should make everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside.... ya think these kind of details should be posted here... maybe a pm next time... it make the guy sound like a quack...

A quack? My father is a cardiologist and he will have you out of his office in 15 min. Shewmaker is very knowledgable at what he does and he knows what he's looking for and for that matter no one should hide the fact thru unneccessary pm's just because he gets you done in 12 to 15 min. What do you exactly want him to do for 50$. What did u want him to ck besides your bp, eyes, ears, nose, throat, balance, heart and abdominals and papaer work?
