ATC was on a roll about 4 hours ago:
We were westbound out of Newark at 350 when center called traffic eastbound in our 12 o'clock 2000' below, "flight of two "Spirits." We were lucky enough to silhouette them over a city and see the B-2s on their way to turn the enemy into dust. God bless the crews of Racoon63 --- they have a VERY long day ahead of them.
The same controller asked the B-2s if they had heard that "over-there" the Wal Marts are going out of business...well actually they are just turning them into Targets. He then wished them Godspeed.
Prior to the B-2s, the same controller gave an Air France a frequency change -- after Air France read back the change and uttered something unintelligible, the controller said, "Good riddance."
Political correctness took a hit on the radio tonight -- we loved it. No urban legend here -- I heard it all.
