Can someone explain why an airport with an ils would have the letters NA(not authorized) in the "for filing as an alternate" box on the back of jepp approach chart. The airport in question is Fort Pierce, Florida. There is only an atis (no TAF produced) here, this is my guess. No weather prediction on the field.

Any input would be nice.

No TAF

The reason it cant be an alternate is because there is no forecast wx. Remember the forcast wx has to be 600 and 2 and if there is no TAF then there cant be a way to tell what the weather is gonna be at your ETA. However that doesnt mean that if you cant get into your primary airport that you cant go to Ft Pierce. After you go missed you can go anywhere you want. Just tell ATC what you want to do next.
