Alternate CASS procedure for United?

Hey guys,
I'm renewing my passport and wondering if there is an alternate procedure United uses in this case. At Mesaba, our certified birth certificate and copy of the application can be used while waiting for the new passport to come. I mainly jump on Northwest but use United alot too.

any info appreciated,
