ALPA survey on new TSA procedures

I will not pay for the "pleasure" of getting into work. I am disappointed that ALPA even put that in as an option. I understand that there was advice against putting that question in, but it looks like someone thinks that it is a viable option.

Take the survey and make sure that your LEC Reps know how you feel.


Have you considered that the 'pay for it' option was included in the survey with the hopes and trust that ALPA members would overwhelmingly state they will not pay for it.

The conversation will go like this:

Govt/Industry: pilots want this, so pilots should pay for it.
ALPA: our pilots will not pay for it...
Govt/Industry: how do you know, did you ask them?
ALPA: actually yes, and here is the data. So no, pilots will not pay for this. Any questions?
 
Well pardon a little cynical verbage but ALPA was sitting on their rears during the 80's when we got stuck with this mess. Oh yes, and taking my money so they could transfer my job to someone else. Pardon me if I have absolutely no faith in ALPA's ability to get anything worthwhile accomplished.
