This from ALPA's FastRead newsletter in my email today. The question becomes: What defines "job opportunities"? Better be preferential interviewing/hiring and placement at the bottom of the list. None of this Mesa J4J bull.

The core elements of the current contract scope language are retained. The new agreement would allow United's feeder carriers to operate aircraft with more than 50 seats if the feeder airline provides job opportunities to furloughed United pilots.

You can find out more about this as well as the exact wording of the TA on the "MAJORS" forum. It's been on there for several days. The ALPA news is old and generally ambiguous.

I thought we always provided job opportunities for forloughess. I know we have ex Midway, USair and probably some United folks onboard. We welcome everyone.

I bet it's ALPA's latest newest version of the J4J extorsion program, maybe this time there is an attempt to make it fair for all concerned. ( I would be surprized, but anything is possible.)
