Aloha Airlines said today it is shutting down its interisland cargo operations.

Aloha, which carries 85 percent of all goods by air between the islands, said its lender, GMAC Commercial Finance LLC was unwiling to provide further financing.
Aloha flew an afternoon cargo flight today, but the fate of its nighttime shipments was unclear at this time.

Due to fuel costs and credit problems, go! will unfortunately not be able to offer any more low fares.

The lowest fare between the islands will be $149 each way.

What were the reasons the cargo pilots wanted to go on strike? From what I gathered, pay wasn't the big issue.

Junior pilots were flying over senior ones. We have (had) a contract that stated otherwise. Cargo was making $6 mil a year profit, so this problem goes much deeper...The smell of corruption!

It was less about who flies what and who doesn't fly, but the fact the David "Douchbag" Banfcuker has a nasty habit of restarting operations down the road. If the union doesn't enforce the contract of "Aloha1", then "Aloha2" might be flown by Go! pilots, and we can't have that.
