Here is an honest question...

Say you have or planned on flying Allegiant sometime this summer or next Fall etc.. How is the general public supposed to know when Allegiant is going to resume these flights.. It seems that Allegiant stops service at a moments notice and sometimes strands a boat load of passenegers?

I can see cutting some frequency on the Mainland, but this sounds like cutting service almost completely and MAYBE start it up again in the winter? Doesn't seem like the best of marketing strategies when the general public knows they can rely on HA/AK all year long...

There will always be a market for cheapskates. Apparently they don't fly to Hawaii in summer. If there's money to be made Allegiant will make it, if there's not they leave. The type of traveller they fly doesn't seem to mind.

This is how they operate....it's just getting more press now because of the operational snafus. Nothing new.

How can any operator have so much maintenance difficulty with 757s? Are they just old and tired? (airplanes not mechanics)

Have you ever flown on Allegiant? Customer service is not one of their high points. They are after the K-mart shopper, where nothing but the lowest price matters.

Sometimes when you go with the lowest bidder on heavy checks, you get what you pay for. The way Allegiant moves in and out of markets, you never know when they may decide to leave.
