Has anyone done their ATP written 'crash' course? I guess you sit in front of their computer for a day and memorize everything, then take the exam? Will this earn me a 90+ if I don't study a lot in advance, and I am of average intelligence?

WTF is the difference between sitting in front of their computer to study and sitting in front of your own doing the same thing (besides $200+)?

Actually, send me $395. You can sit in front of my computer for two days taking practice tests with my old Gleim software. I'll even throw in a free hour of ground school if you think that will help.

I did the one day deal at all atps in lakeland, fl. I hate to study, I went in cold and made a 92. best money I spent.

My suggestion is to wait until you need it, that way your base knowledge is better.

Supposedly they narrow down the bank of questions down to 500. Removing the 135 regs if you are doing 121, the helicopter stuff, etc. I know someone who went recently and said it's expensive but well worth it. That money is just a time-saver I guess.

All ATP's or not. If you take the 121 Test you get 121 regs, 135 Test:135 Regs. That's the point of having the two tests. Designed to take the one including the regs that apply to your position (or position you desire). If you're in a serious time crunch blow the $300. But you can seriously study the book or Gleim software for a weekend and get a comparable score. The test bank is reduced at ATP's, but all they do is remove duplicate and similar questions. You won't be getting away with skipping any knowledge areas.
