Hello all,
I took my ATP written and am looking to knock out the checkride. I am planning on going to All ATP to do the ride. Anyone have any problems using them in the past or suggestions?

It would be appreciated.

I would definitely give them the thumbs up. I went there with little preparation, three years since I had flown a light twin or done single pilot ifr, zero prior seminole time, and they got me through it without any hitches. I did feel a little anxious but you just have to trust that the instructor does this everyday and will know if you are ready.

If you do go with AllAtps I would highly recommend FLL. They have excellent instructors and know the atp checkride profile to a T. Also the examiner is very fair. One guy failed while I was down there but it was because he got nervous and just didn't follow the checklist, then he went out and passed the next day. The garmin is pretty easy to learn if you have prior FMS or GPS experience and if you don't you can download a computer based trainer off the net. With hotel and examiners fee the two day atp course cost me about $1,500. Hope that helps.

I went there back in '97 for mine. Luckily, I had a few hundred hours in it from instructing already, because we actually munched a motor on a missed appraoch from a practice NDB. The instructor had about 400 hours TOTAL time. I had just finished training in the RJ and was as sharp as I could be. Anyway, when we got back on the ground in RDU, I figured there was no way I would be able to do my checkride the next day as it was about 9PM and they only had one airplane. Well, when I got there the next morning fully expecting to have to reschedule at a later date, I found another plane there. They flew one in from Texas or somewhere in the middle of the night so I could take my checkride that day! I was pleasantly suprised.

I did the FE prep years ago and sat in front of a computer memorizing the questions and answers that were most relevant for about 3 hours and then took the test in 15 minutes without touching the pencil or scratchpaper. Got like a 96 or 98...

Ditto most of the above, but need to recommend the JAX facility. (Written.... 1 day prep, nap, 98% score)
