Anyone know anything about this particular facility?

MX, AC condition, their flight training DX, quality of instruction, etc

Also the CFI training in Jacksonville.

Just curious, any replies emails or private messages would be greatly appreciated, negative, positive, inflamatory. I'd like to hear it.

Thanks.

i got my multi there in 2004, 2 instructors, 2 seminoles...laid back atmosphere but they get you the info you need for your rating. a/c are very well maintained as far as i saw (though my friend had to delay his MEI ride for a week due to a blown starter). offices are fine, i was there in august and it was comfortable in there for ground discussion. my CFI was great (hayden eade i believe), young but definately fit in their "accelerated" program.

Did my MEI and II there. The instructors were great, planes are new, but don't expect to learn anything more than how to pass the checkride.

Did my MEI there. Airplanes are a tad chewed up from sitting outside, but I felt plenty safe flying them. Atmosphere is good. FTD should be thrown out. I would go back and do it again. I felt like I learned plenty and safety was the priority.

My examiner was uh, memorable, my MEI add-on took longer than my CFI initial, oral and the ride! I guess this is good in the sense that its not just a certificate factor, but far too excessive in my book. Clear out your afternoon. I prepped, answered verbatim and it still took almost 4 hours for the oral, I fail to see what that accomplishes:rolleyes: . 30 minutes talking about accelerate-go in a seminole, what a freaking joke. It won't do it, lets not waste precious time on this earth calculating a distance! I passed first time through, but two different guys were re-checking for their ATP certificates. Examiners vary no doubt, but bring a pack of smokes for when you finish, just in case.
