Has anyone heard when Alaska is supposed to begin training again? The last class I am aware of was 2 months ago in April. Unfortunately I had to pass on the April class but with Saddam out of business it looks like life might slowly be returning to normal for us reservists! Thanks for any info.

I would not hold my breath on there being a class anytime soon. I have not heard any rumors for a long time - and the last rumors said late fall.
The company just asked the pilots to give up 23% today, as well as changes to work rules, retirment and so on... it is going to be a bit ugly around here for a spell while they beat the horse to death at the table.
I have no doubt we will survive this just fine... it's just our turn to do a few rounds with the 300 pound sasquach.
Good Luck.

Hire date?

SeaSlam,

What was your hire date? From the sound of it, you were hired before December 2002. Are there any others like yourself who had to pass on a class date because of Reserve call-ups?

I was hired in December, along with four others, and thought we were the only ones in the pool at that time. Are we wrong?
