On the other hand, SkyWest has also been looking at acquisitions but hasn’t found its way into the larger turboprop market. Maybe that’s an area that SkyWest would like to be in. Buying Horizon would also give SkyWest (and any regional) the ability to diversify by adding a new branded partner, Alaska.

From what I've heard, SkyWest is apparently picking up a few of Horizon's CRJ7 airframes. Beyond that, who knows...
 
Honestly in my opinion. Skywest would be much better than RAH. On the pilot side, if we were sold to SkyWest atleast the upgrade would go down. The old glory days at QX are gone. While we are all CPA now we are not different than everyother regional now... Sadly. Good luck with the relocation.
