My guess is Aspen Executive Air or "AExJet" as they call themselves on their website. Not sure if that is their callsign but it kinda sounds like Ajax.
The only reason I know of them is because the DO called my cell the other day looking for G200 drivers. He saw my resume on climbto350. I couldn't help him because I am under contract at my current employer. But sounded like an OK deal. Homebased, 50k for copilots with lots of potential to earn extra, type rating right off the bat, 8 on, 6 off. And when your off.... your off, no travel day BS. Maybe I should have put this in the Employment Intel thread...
They're not advertising the position, just a few cold calls to the well qualified.
AEXJet To Keep Flying Despite Bankruptcy Filing[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
Aspen Executive Air (AEXJet), an ARG/US Platinum-rated charter operator, voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware. The petition lists up to $100 million in liabilities, with more than 200 creditors. The list of liabilities includes $19,834,442 to JLT Aircraft Holding for money owed on the lease of two Gulfstream G200s; $11,206,764 to Walker Aircraft on the lease of a Dassault Falcon 900B; $300,847 to FlightSafety International; $167,554 to Pratt & Whitney Canada; and $44,210 to CAE SimuFlite. “This is a necessary step that will strengthen the company and allow AEXJet to move forward,” CEO John Gallager stated. The company will continue operating, Gallager said, and would be entering into a “business combination” with another charter operator. He added that the identity of the operator “must remain confidential,” but noted that negotiations should be complete by the end of next week.![]()

I do believe that the Pinnacle Group in Springdale Arkansas may be supplying money (buying) the charter outfit in Aspen. Pinnacle is the one that married up with Jet Ride and has very deep pockets, with great pay and benefits. So, it may not be too bad in the long run, and if I were you, I would do some home work, perhaps it might be a very good gig, for 135 stuff. This is from AIN
Anyone on here currently at AEX? I'm just wondering how you're being handled during this transition.
Word is that the merger of Jetride and AEX is almost complete. Really what's happening is that John Calamos (the Forbes rich guy) is buying 51% of Jetride to continue serving his AEX client list. He'll be the controlling partner of Jetride, which is still a Pinnacle Group Company.
As someone said, the big news for Jetride is that there will be many retail clients from AEX coming aboard, and Jetride will eventually pull out of the whoring itself for Sentient, Skyjet, EJM, EJA, Flex, Onesky, Citationshares, et. al.
The Pinnacle partners do have deep pockets, but they look like peasants compared to Calamos. Since JB Hunt kicked off, the Pinnacle Group hasn't had anyone who loved aviation in it, so things have stagnated, but Calamos is an aviation lover, so we're kinda excited.
I'm pretty happy at Jetride, but there is no yearly pay raise structure (3% if we've been good boys and girls, pathetic), the 401k sucks, the health insurance sucks. That all being said, good people to fly with, good management guys, good schedule. A decent 135 shop, indeed. We're just hoping for more once the Calamos/AEX deal is complete.
This has all changed in recent months, huh?
